Lets talk about Food

When it comes to food, there are many different beliefs and opinions on WHAT is healthy for you and your body. I believe the most important thing when it comes to food is to prepare and eat it with love, care and gratitude. Be kind to your body by serving it with healthy food - and remember: you are what you eat eat to live, don’t live to eat.

Eat food that is easy to digest (meat is NOT). A Yogic Diet is a vegetarian diet (it is not recommended to eat anything that had a mother), and whether you choose to follow a Yogic diet or not is up to you, but remember to eat lots of vegetables (especially leafy greens), fruits and nuts, combined with some rice and beans. Avoid white sugar, too much salt, nicotine, white bread, caffeine, alcohol and any other drugs. Eat only when you are hungry (avoid snacking too much), and never eat after sunset. Make sure to chew properly before swallow the food – the stomach has no teeth. And it is a good rule to let your digestive system rest once a week.

Eat Breakfast like a Queen, Lunch like a Princess & Dinner like a Beggar

"One Small Positive thought in the Morning Can Change your Whole Day"!

The way you start your day is so important - When I'm done with my Sadhana, (daily morning-yoga practises) & before eating a big & healthy breakfast, I always drink freshly squeezed lemon with some ginger & warm water - so simple, but yet so many benefits.

And as the saying goes: Eat Breakfast like a King, Lunch like a Prince, & Dinner like a Beggar ( Or as I prefer to say it: Eat Breakfast like a Queen, Lunch like a Princess, & Dinner like a Beggar :)
Either way you say it - the message here is:
Don't skip breakfast!! It is our most important meal of the day!

From time to time, when I feel the need of a more intense purifying of the organs, I swop the lemon for this cleansing drink:

Polarity Drink:

1 whole orange or grapefruit (remove the peel and chop into pieces)

1 whole lemon (remove the peel and chop into pieces)

1-2 Tbsp of cold-pressed olive oil (start with less and add more as you can tolerate it)

1 slice of fresh ginger root (peeled)

1-2 cloves of fresh garlic (if your work situation makes this impossible, use 2-4 capsules of encapsulated garlic and swallow them with the Polarity Drink)

1-2 teaspoons of ground flax seeds

1 pinch of cayenne pepper

Place all ingredients in a blender, cover with water, and liquefy. Drink very slowly, thoroughly mixing the drink with your saliva before swallowing. Drink on an empty stomach in the morning. Continue daily for two to three weeks at a time.
